Meet The Founder
Steve Hoffman PMP, CSEP
As the President of HELM Innovations, I leverage my 30+ years of experience in national security to provide programmatic, science, technology, systems engineering, and strategic thinking solutions for public and private sectors. I have a proven track record of leading and growing teams, delivering innovative and integrated solutions, and fostering strategic partnerships across multiple disciplines and domains.
Before founding HELM Innovations, I served as the Vice President of National Security Science and Technology at LMI, where I led a 191+ person service line that increased revenue by 110% and personnel by 130% in two years. I also orchestrated innovation by partnering with academic institutions to enhance client solutions with cutting edge technologies. I have extensive interagency and international relationships at the senior level, with experience at the National Security Council, Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff, the US European Command, and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
I am a certified systems engineer, DAWIA Level III PM, a project management professional, and a former naval aviator with expertise in China, NATO, Russia, nuclear security, C5ISR, spectrum management, maritime security, joint weapons systems, international program management, CBRNE, life sciences, RDT&E, and electromagnetic systems.
